Val Vista Priority 4 Rehabilitation

The Val Vista Rehabilitation involves a 3,920 LF Transmission Main pipeline for the City of Phoenix. The existing 96” diameter pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe was slip-lined with a new 92” welded steel liner installed from a single access portal in the neighboring City of Mesa, AZ. The annular space was specified to be grouted with 300 PSI cellular concrete. Ground operations were completed in lifts. The single access portal made this job challenging since both directions would result in dead ends. This caused us to run cleanout hoses to washout at the portal site for both ends. The job was completed before the pipeline was critically scheduled back in service.
