PulteGroup is redeveloping an aging 11 acre office park into a 190-home residential neighborhood. This project will address the local housing deficit and provide new affordable housing. Aligned with the city’s blueprint for smart growth, the redevelopment will practice energy-efficient construction.
Measures to mitigate against settlement were taken because the average weight of each building ranged from 325 PSF to 625 PSF. Areas designated for single family homes and block/row homes were excavated during environmental remediation and backfilled with lightweight cellular concrete. The lightweight property of LCC reduces ground settlement and improves bearing capacity of soft, compressible soils.
