Philly Union WSFS Bank Sport Complex

Philadelphia Union announced plans for the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, a world-class, 365-day-a-year, 170,000 sq. ft, 32-acre sports and recreation complex, in partnership with WSFS Bank. The announcement of the project marks a significant step in the development and revitalization of the Delaware River Waterfront, creating jobs and tourism while injecting millions of dollars into the Chester community.

Project Details
The Cellular Concrete was used to create the base floor of the training facility. The current location had previously been a parking lot. Located next to the river and the potential for high water and infiltration, the use of LDCC provided low reduction. The highest portion of the project was 2 ft. Cellular Concrete was pumped an approximate distance of 200 ft. The surface will be covered with rock and astro turf.
