Morena Pump Station

Located at the San Diego Trolley tracks, a 66” RCP Sewer line runs alongside a heavily traveled Friars Road at Moreno Boulevard. The 66” RCP, which stretched to 2,600 LF, was scheduled to be taken out of service by abandoning in place with lightweight fill.

Cell-Crete was tasked with filling the old sewer line with Low Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC). Approximately 2,100 CY of Class II 27 PCF LDCC was pumped from two locations to complete the job.
