Director of Special Projects
How did you get started in the industry?
I’m third generation at Cell-Crete. I grew up going to job sites and looking over plans with my dad. So construction is nothing new to me.
What is a typical day like for you on the job?
A typical day involves meeting with various teams within the organization and coordinating the various aspects of helping run the business. That could mean planning the Christmas Party to designing and implementing new procedures for the company.
What’s one of the best things about working here?
We truly are a “family business.” I consider my coworkers family, and the culture at Cell-Crete really feels like home
Do you have a favorite project that you’ve worked on here at Cell-Crete?
What I’m most proud of creating and designing is our Safety Rewards Program, better known as “Safety Bucks.” We reward our employees for being safe on site, and they can redeem their Safety Bucks for various items in our Safety Catalog—from new company shirts to Disneyland tickets.
Any advice or tips for someone who’s just starting in this field or who would be in your position?
Try! You never know until you submit that resume to that job you have been thinking of!
How do you define success?
I define success by always showing up. In order to make the business run, we all have to show up every single day. If you give your full heart to what you do, you will be successful. I’ve seen this with both my father and grandfather before him. Their passion for Cell-Crete and what we do is the reason our company leads the way in the industry and sets the standard for our competition.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and our German Shepherd. We love exploring every corner of Los Angeles, spending time with our loved ones, and rooting for the New England Patriots every football Sunday.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Most people are surprised to find out that I have my Masters in Business with an emphasis on Leadership as well as Human Resource Management, which I actually finished the day I turned 25!
What is the next item on your bucket list?
I’m always looking forward to the next trip I can take! My husband and I are headed to Lake Tahoe next!
