The Project

We’re thrilled to announce that we recently utilized lightweight cellular concrete lightweight flowable fill on another facility project! This innovative material proves invaluable for backfilling hard-to-access areas, where compaction or placement is challenging, much like many other facility projects this one included intricate piping and support structures.

Why is cellular concrete the ideal choice for these challenging spots? Here are a few reasons:

  1. Pumpability: Its exceptional flowability allows for easy pumping into tight spaces, eliminating the need for extensive manual labor or complex placement techniques.
  2. Lightweight: Being significantly lighter than traditional fills reduces the load on underlying structures, making it perfect for sensitive areas where weight is a concern.
  3. Versatility: Cellular concrete can adapt to various shapes and configurations, ensuring complete coverage in hard-to-reach areas without the hassle of cutting or compaction placement.
  4. Speed of Installation: Crew size is minimal and also requires only a hose to reach placement location.

By utilizing lightweight cellular concrete, we ensured a solid foundation while overcoming the challenges posed by hard-to-reach areas. It’s truly a game-changer in construction!
