SR 305/Sam Snyder Creek Washington State Department of Transportation Project

The SR 305/Sam Snyder Creek Washington State Department of Transportation Project aims to enhance the ecological connectivity by removing two existing 270-foot-long, 36-inch-diameter concrete pipe culverts on State Route 305 near Poulsbo. These culverts currently act as barriers to fish migration, limiting their access to the Sam Snyder Creek crossing. To overcome this challenge, the culverts are being replaced with a single 239-foot-long steel girder bridge.

A crucial aspect of the project was the timely completion of the backfill operations before the start of the fireworks sales for the upcoming 4th of July. This required efficient planning and execution to ensure minimal disruption to the community. To address concerns related to potential differential settlement at the bridge abutments, we utilized 2400 cubic yards of Class IV cellular concrete. This specialized concrete provided the necessary stability and strength to mitigate any settlement issues that may arise.

Thanks to the expertise and dedication of our team, the project was successfully completed within a week. This accomplishment highlights our commitment to delivering infrastructure projects promptly while maintaining the highest quality standards.
