Lovelock NV Mining Project

We recently completed an exciting mining project in Lovelock, Nevada that required a unique lightweight fill solution. Our team successfully addressed the challenge of protecting an 11′ x 22′ span arch structure, spanning 50′ over the influence zone, from potential damage caused by overburden from a stockpile directly above it at a refinery job site.

To overcome this challenge, we utilized an innovative class II cellular concrete, expertly placed at a depth of 24′. This solution provided a strong and efficient protection for the structure.

In addition to the technical aspects, the project site presented us with some logistical challenges. The remote location and unpredictable weather made transportation of the necessary bulk materials a complex task. Nonetheless, our dedicated team of problem-solvers persevered and successfully completed the project.
