The Project
The Morenci Mine is a large copper mine located near Morenci, Arizona, United States. Morenci represents one of the largest copper reserves in the United States and in the world.
The Solution
An irregular rock mined annular space was needed to be filled, the contractor installed feed lines at the surface to be able to inject celluar concrete into the void space and complete the annular backfill scope of work. Class IV material was chosen for this scope of work and the work as completed in 2 lifts.
